Fiancé Visa Letter

Applying for the Fiancé Visa Letter

If you are applying for a Fiancé Visa, also known as the Prospective Marriage Visa, the Department of Home Affairs requires written confirmation from an authorised Marriage Celebrant. This letter confirms that your marriage has been formally booked and that a Notice of Intended Marriage has been completed in accordance with Australian law.

We can take care of all the required legal steps for you. This includes completing the Notice of Intended Marriage and issuing the celebrant’s letter needed for your visa application. Our fee is $175 and includes any additional letters required by immigration at no extra cost, should your wedding date change.

Once we have your details, the letter can be prepared and issued on the same day, allowing you to move forward with your visa application without unnecessary delays. Contact us to get started and we will guide you through the process simply and efficiently.

What to do next?

Step One: Complete the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form and it is okay for only one of you to have the form witnessed. You will need to have the form witnessed with us, or at a police station, justice of the peace, doctor or lawyer. DOWNLOAD THE NOIM FORM HERE. NOIM FORM

Step Two: Email the form and a copy of your passport or birth certificate and drivers licence to info@registryweddings.com.au and then we can prepare the letter for immigration that you require.

Step Three: We will issue an invoice for $175 and normally have the letter issued the same day as the payment.

Step Four: Once the visa is approved we can then book in your wedding. You will have 9 months to be married once the visa is approved and the NOIM form is valid for 18 months from when we first complete it. We will issue a new letter at no cost if required.
